About MBRC
We are looking for more volunteers to help improve emergency support in:
- Mairangi Bay
- Campbells Bay
- Murrays Bay.
We are a small, passionate group of locals committed to supporting each other through emergencies. We formed after the Auckland Anniversary floods in 2023 when we realised how important it is to help our neighbourhoods better prepare for extreme weather events.
We monitor emerging emergency situations through:
- contact with emergency services
- our own observations
- our network of contacts
- media.
We also have community emergency hubs to use as a base in an emergency.
Get involved
Emergencies can happen at any time and when they do it is local connections that matter most.
We need more volunteers to get involved. Together, we can build a safer, more connected Mid Bays community.
Whether it is sharing information, supporting our community hubs or helping neighbours prepare – there is a role for you. We are here to make sure no one faces an emergency alone.
