About Te Herenga Waka o Ōrewa CRG

We are looking for more volunteers to help improve emergency support in:

• Silverdale
• Hibiscus Coast
• Whangaparāoa
• Ōrewa
• Stillwater.

Te Herenga Waka o Ōrewa Marae is home to Manaaki HOPE, our dedicated Community Readiness Group. Our team of volunteers work together to strengthen the resilience of our whānau and wider community. 

Guided by the values of manaakitanga (care and support), Manaaki HOPE plays a vital role in supporting our communities to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. 

Our emergency hub is a trusted place of safety and connection. It provides resources, emotional support and temporary shelter during emergency events. Through the power of conversation and connection, we can build a more resilient community.
